Doppler: Privacy Policy

Doppler Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 13, 2023

This privacy policy describes how Doppler Tech Inc ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you interact with our service.

1. Information We Collect

When you interact with our chatbot, we may collect and store the content of your conversations. This could include any information you choose to provide such as your name, contact details, or other personal data.

If you sign up for billing, we will collect and store your contact information. We do not receive or store your payments details such as credit card numbers or ACH account numbers; that is handled entirely through our payment processor Stripe.

If you make your own clone chatbot, you may be asked to give us access to your social media, conversation history, voice samples, and other data to train your chatbot. Most of the specific data are optional, however the more you provide, the higher quality your chatbot clone will be.

We may also collect information about your device, such as your IP address, browser type, and operating system.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect primarily to improve the functionality and user experience of our chatbot. This includes using the content of conversations to train and improve our chatbot's responses. We may also use aggregated information for ad targeting, analytics, or other purposes.

We will not give away or sell your personal data or training data to third parties.

Any chatbot clone training data you chose to provide remains your own, and you may rescind our access to it at any time by deleting your account (see below). You do not grant us any license to own, sell, or give away your training data. Any data you provide as part of creating your own chatbot clone is used only to train your chatbot. We will not give or sell this data to any 3rd party, although it may be necessary to temporarily transmit parts of this data to a 3rd party to fine-tune a machine learning model to act more like you.

3. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

We mask as much Personally Identifying Information (PII) as we reasonably can within any training data you give us. For example, we will replace phone numbers with 000-000-0000 or similar.

When you delete your account, we will delete all of your personal data within 30 days. Currently you may request account deletion via email (support@doppler.page), however we plan on making this easier in the future.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal data from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page. You are advised to review this privacy policy periodically for any changes.
